Adding Favorite contacts [webOS 2.x]
This tip is only for devices running webOS 2.0 and higher
The ability to tag certain contacts as "Favorites" in webos 2.0 provides you a way to more quickly access those contacts in webOS, at times without the need to slide open up the keyboard. The Contacts and Phone Apps has been updated to show a separate section for these Favorite contacts and your Favorites will always appear first in a search, whether it be while searching in the email or message app or performing a Just Type search (formally called Universal Search). Continue reading after the break to learn how to set a contact Favorite.
There are three ways tag a contact as a favorite.
1. Open up the contact's record and tap on the
icon on the bottom right of the screen. Once set, that icon will turn to and the header of the record (where the contact's name appears) will turn from gray to blue. 2. From the Favorites section of either the Contacts app or the Phone App (accessible by tapping the star on the bottom of the screen), tap the "Add Favorite…" row. This will bring up the standard contact selection screen. Just search for a contact (for best results, remember to search using the contact's initials) and tap on their name.
3. From the Favorites section of the Contacts app, you can tap on the
icon in the lower left. This will open up a blank contact record for you to fill out, meaning that this will only work for new contacts you want to add to your contact list. Once complete, press the "Done" button to create the contact record and automatically set it as a favorite.
