HTC Wildfire S announced, is a budget-friendly Gingerbread phone
HTC just announced the successor of the HTC Wildfire, aptly named the HTC Wildfire S.
Design-wise, this phone is highly reminiscent of its predecessor, as the only notable difference between the two is the optical trackpad, which is missing on the Wildfire S' front side.
As for its specs, it is packing a 3.2-inch display with HVGA resolution (320 x 480) and a 5MP camera with LED flash.
The Wildfire S also adds a variety of features, which are a must for any modern smartphone - like Facebook integration and a microSD slot.
The real talking point of this phone, however, is none other than the fact it's to launch with the latest incarnation of Android - Gingerbread - out of the box.
No information about its processor and RAM is announced as of now, but it's surely on the way.
This phone will be "broadly available to customers across major European and Asian markets during Q2 2011", but its price is yet unknown.
